As of November 16, 2011, Hampshire First Bank (HFB) and NBT Bank announced a plan for HFB to merge with and into NBT.  The merger is expected to close early in the second quarter of 2012 and is subject to the receipt of regulatory approvals and approval by the stockholders of HFB.

In Hampshire First bank's five years of existence, much of our success has come from our associates - members of our community who have strengthened local relationships and built the Bank from a dream into a New Hampshire success story. 

While there may be some changes, the faces of our team will not change and our banking decisions will continue to be made locally.
